About Us
Luminé Kennels was founded on a simple belief: every puppy deserves the best possible start in life.
Our breeding dogs live as beloved family members, not kennelled animals. This makes all the difference in producing confident, well-adjusted puppies.

How It Works
Fill in our enquiry form or message us on Instagram. Tell us what you're looking for and a bit about your home.
We'll share photos, videos, and arrange a visit if you're local — or a video call for those further away.
A deposit secures your chosen puppy. We'll keep you updated with weekly photos as they grow.
At 8 weeks, your puppy goes home fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and with a puppy pack.

This Puppy Reservation Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Luminé Kennels ("the Breeder") and the purchaser ("the Client"). By paying a deposit or purchasing a puppy, the Client agrees to all terms set out herein. Luminé Kennels breeds SACBR-registered Dachshunds (shorthair and longhair) and KUSA-registered English Bulldogs. All breeding practices comply with applicable South African animal welfare legislation, including the Animals Protection Act 71 of 1962.
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the agreed purchase price is required to reserve a puppy from a current or upcoming litter. The remaining balance is due in full before or on the date of collection. Payment is accepted via EFT to the Luminé Kennels bank account. No puppy will be released until full payment has been received and cleared. Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
The deposit is strictly non-refundable. Should the Client cancel the reservation for any reason, the deposit will be forfeited. Should the Breeder be unable to fulfil the reservation due to litter complications or unforeseen circumstances, the deposit will be refunded in full. The Breeder reserves the right to cancel a reservation if the Client is found to have provided false information or if the Breeder deems the home environment unsuitable for the wellbeing of the puppy.
All puppies leave Luminé Kennels with age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a veterinary health certificate. The Breeder guarantees each puppy is in good health at the time of collection. Should a puppy be diagnosed with a life-threatening congenital condition within 14 days of collection (confirmed in writing by a registered South African veterinarian), the Breeder will offer a replacement puppy from the next available litter or a partial refund at the Breeder's discretion. This guarantee does not cover illness resulting from environmental factors, parasites, neglect, or failure to follow veterinary advice after collection.
Puppies are ready for collection at a minimum of 8 weeks of age, in compliance with South African animal welfare guidelines. Collection is by appointment only. The Breeder offers delivery or transport arrangements within South Africa at an additional cost to be agreed upon at the time of booking. The Client assumes full responsibility for the puppy upon collection or delivery handover. It is the Client's responsibility to arrange suitable transport and to ensure the puppy's safety and comfort during travel.
SACBR registration papers for Dachshunds and KUSA registration papers for English Bulldogs will be provided to the Client upon full payment and collection. Transfer of registration into the Client's name is the Client's responsibility and may be subject to the relevant kennel club's fees and requirements.
Unless explicitly agreed upon in writing at the time of sale, all puppies are sold on a pet-only basis. Breeding rights are not included in the standard purchase price and must be negotiated separately. The Breeder reserves the right to decline breeding rights at their discretion.
The Client accepts full responsibility for the health, welfare, and care of the puppy from the moment of collection. The Client agrees to provide the puppy with adequate food, water, shelter, veterinary care, and companionship in accordance with the Animals Protection Act 71 of 1962. The Breeder reserves the right to request the return of a puppy if there is evidence of neglect or abuse, at no refund to the Client.
Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes amicably before pursuing legal action. Should legal proceedings become necessary, they will be conducted in a South African court of competent jurisdiction in the Western Cape.
Luminé Kennels collects and processes personal information solely for the purposes of completing puppy sales and maintaining breeder records. Client information will not be shared with third parties without consent, in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) No. 4 of 2013.
By proceeding with a deposit payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms are subject to change and the most current version will always be available on this website.
